Once again, one of the best cartoons to emerge out of the 2010s has come to an end. That series is Steven Universe. It has been quite the emotional and fun journey seeing so many characters grow and change, seeing new worlds, and having all kinds of feels. Many new shows will come and go, but Steven Universe will always be something unique and special. Unfortunately, now that the show is over, all that's left on Cartoon Network is nothing but crap so I don't see myself watching it anymore. However, we'll always have a lot of great shows to look back on with fond memories.

Recently, I have begun watching two new animated shows that have just been released. The first is a new series on Disney Channel called The Owl House. The second is a series on Netflix called Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts.

The Owl House centers around a girl named Luz who enters a fantasy world and trains to become a witch with the help of a witch named Eda and her demon friend named King. First off, I love the characters. Luz is a bit weird, but she's relatable. Not to mention, she's also very determined and doesn't seem to quiver in the face of danger. Eda is a quirky sort of character and seems like the kind of fun-loving aunt that someone has in their family. King is absolutely adorable and pretty funny. I can tell there's going to be a ton of plushies made of him. The animation is pretty good with amazing backgrounds and Gravity Falls-esque character animation. If you're a fan of Gravity Falls and Star vs the Forces of Evil, you'll love this show.

Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts centers around a girl named Kipo who finds herself on a post-apocalyptic earth after being whisked away from her underground home. There, she makes friends and learns how to survive in this strange, new world. The animation for the show is very good with unique designs for the characters and the mutant animals that inhabit the world the show is set in. I do admire the fact that the show is set in a post-apocalyptic world. It's something that you don't see too often in cartoons. The characters of the show are pretty good with each having their own secrets to hide. The story is engaging as you learn more about the characters and the world they inhabit. Not to mention the show has it's own unique soundtrack with original songs along with various hip-hop and R&B songs. Overall, I really enjoyed this show. It's got a good story, characters, and it has a very unique setting that you'll find yourself captivated by.

If you ever have time to watch these shows, I highly recommend them.

YouTube is about screw over thousands of channels in 2020 in order to protect kids online. While their intentions are good, their plan is terrible and could hurt a ton of users as well as the site as a whole. For those who don't know, YouTube was sued by the federal trade commission for illegally collecting data from children in order to run personalized ads for them. Starting on January 1st next year, all channels will be required to classify their channels content as being made for kids. This includes any channel that makes videos with cartoons, toys, and video games. The channels will also be demonitized and have their comments turned off as well as have their notifications disabled. Those who fail to classify their videos having kids content will be fined $42,000 by the federal trade commission. There is something we can do to stop this. You can submit a comment to the federal trade commission about these new rules as well as sign petitions demanding YouTube to reconsider them. Submit your comments to the federal trade commission and sign petitions so that your channel and the channels of those you follow, will be saved.

Coming from someone who has had a decent amount of exposure to Pokemon  growing up, I was expecting Detective Pikachu to a pretty good movie, but after seeing it, I can definitely say that it's an awesome movie! If you're a hardcore pokemon fan, you'll love this movie. The pokemon themselves look fantastic with a nice balance between looking realistic and anime-like. The acting is good, especially from Ryan Reynolds who is fantastic as Pikachu! He practically carries the whole film! The plot takes a few twists and turns, but it's fairly standard. There are plenty of Easter eggs and references to other stuff in the franchise but I only noticed a few of them since I'm not a huge fan of Pokemon. Overall, for the first live action Pokemon movie, Warner Bros knocked it out of the park! If we get more live action Pokemon movies after this one, I hope they show more Pokemon and give us different plots involving different characters in order to build a whole universe around them. Definitely worth watching! Gotta check it out!
